Silicon Valley Bank Crisis
You have probably heard about the bank that created panic for many people and entrepreneurs last week. Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) collapsed. Why did it collapse? The collapse happened for multiple reasons, including a lack of diversification and a classic bank run (according to pbs.org), where many customers withdrew their deposits simultaneously due to fears of the bank's solvency. Many of SVB's depositors were startup companies.

We are very proud to introduce You to Massimo - a true lover of life and all the adventures it has to offer! Whether he's swimming, playing tennis or padel, roller or ice skating, walking, traveling, or playing music, Massimo is always up for something new and exciting.

And when it comes to digital marketing, Massimo is the man with the plan. As the Managing Director of Alca Amp, he's leading the way into the combination of affiliate marketing, Web3, and AI. He's got a wealth of experience, having generated a whopping 18 million leads in mobile content marketing between 2009 and 2016. And that's just the beginning!

Member Spotlight of the week

Congratulations on an amazing performance Wendy Chen. We are so proud and grateful to have You in the Alcacor Family!

Wendy is from a Fujian family born in Hong Kong. She had a strong desire to start a business since childhood. Wendy knows that the work character is not good enough. Three generations must work hard to change the fate of the family. I am committed to being the hardest-working generation,” Wendy says.

“I am good at IT, and the development of the field has always been a pity. I have been in business for 7 years in the traditional wholesale and e-commerce career, but failed to achieve my dream goal!” Wendy means that times have changed. Internet updates and iterations have given her a new life.

“Alcacor has allowed me to turn my love into a career and achieve peak results in three months!” Her team members are located in 12 countries around the world, from the age of 21 to 75 years old.

This week the subject is security. Security is super important, especially in Web3. Every day there are Twitter accounts compromised, sending out fake minting links and hackers that get new ways to steal people´s assets from their wallets. The two recommendations we have for You this week are designed to help keep your digital assets safe, aside from setting up a Ledger device for yourself.

Pocket Universe is a Chrome extension that protects You by showing You exactly what happens in a web3 transaction before You sign the transaction.

Take Back Control of Your Wallet. When using dapps like Uniswap or OpenSea You have to grant them permission to spend your tokens and NFTs. This is called an allowance. If You don't revoke these allowances, the dapp can spend your tokens forever. Take back control by revoking your allowances.

Web3 Glossary

Not only that Web3 is a new “world” for many of us. The language is sometimes also different from what we are used too in the Web3 business environment. Every week we will highlight three words that is frequent used. You also have a “complete” Glossary here

GM is something You will see everywhere on different social media channels. It stands for Good Morning. Simple as that. The difference is that GM can be used at any time of the day/night, meaning that it´s also used for Good Night etc. That´s because it´s always morning for someone in the Web3 space.

DYOR is an important phrase. It stands for Do Your Own Reserach. Many times a project can be “hyped” by others. Still it´s very important that You always take the decision based on YOUR own research. This is especially important when someone has:

FOMO stands for Fear Of Missing Out (noun), a feeling of anxiety, stemming from missing out on an opportunity. In investing, this usually coincides with investors buying an asset after it has already seen a considerable increase in price, hoping to get in and out before a pullback occurs. This is known as “FOMOing in” or “aping in.”
